Nicholas 4th February 2021

Dearest Catherine, Thank you for some of my happiest early childhood memories... The times spent playing hide & seek in granny’s garden or when we buried the vase in the coal shed, and making “marvellous medicine”... In fact; it was you who gave me my first ever pocket money .. a whopping £1.20 back in 1988! (Saved from money you made earned whilst working in a care home)... You also used to take us down to the recreation ground in Hayle and you even inspired me to go down the tallest slide! Of course, you were there for all those Masses and “hospital trolley” rounds and, then...you gave us those terrible nicknames: Louis poohey doubly woohey and Nicholas pickless doubly witless... (I was particularly grateful for how bad Louis’ one was!) I will miss you greatly but never forget how much Louis and I loved you as children and how excited we always were to see see you. May you rest in peace. You are in our thoughts and prayers now and always. Nicholas xx
